Where has our freedom gone? It was not taken away by a foreign army, nor was it ripped away from us in a midnight raid. It was not stolen from us while we were occupied with other matters.

We have given it away, bit by bit, and received nothing in return.

In my blog, I intend to cover contemporary stories and consider how these issues would have been addressed when we were a free people.

Fiscally, I am conservative. The government has become far too large and accomplishes little of value.

Socially, I have mixed opinions but tend to libertarian (with some conservative exceptions).

I have a wide background -- I have worked for two state governments and started two of my own businesses. I have degrees from an Ivy League institution and a State University. I have attended public, parochial, and private schools. I will tell you more about myself in future posts.

These are some of the topics I intend to discuss (in no particular order):

Religious Freedom
Why the Islamic world hates us
Illegal immigration
Taxes/withholding
Government corruption
Voter fraud
Predictions
Fall of the Roman Republic parallels
Future of Europe
Energy Independence
Education
North Korea
Iran
Cuba
New States
China/US Relations
Siberia
Welfare and Voting
Charity
Debt
Liberals in Academia
Health Insurance

It is not my intention, however, to rehash others blogs. Generally speaking, I will describe the issue, demonstrate why it violates American principles, and propose solutions.
